Initial Contact

When Cherubs Childrenswear approached us, they had just recently started their luxury childrens clothing brand and were looking for a website to showcase their brand and also sell products.

We knew to convert customers to sales effectively the website would not only have to be visually appealing but would have to showcase her products effectively.

After gathering details about how they wanted the website to look and function we moved on to making technical decisions on our end.

Technical Specifications

It's no understatement that making the correct technical decisions is massively important for the long term and also ensuring the customers software will scale properly.

In the case of Cherubs Childrenswear we decided that custom coding the website from scratch would be a bad idea for the following reasons:

  • Cost - We want to keep the cost low for the Cherubs both during the creation of the site and after so creating custom software could become more expensive.
  • Time - Cherubs was having amazing success already and we knew a website had to be out quickly without compromising functionality.

After taking these factors into account we decided to go with WordPress & Woocommerce. Previous clients have had amazing success with this combination so we knew it wouldn't create any problems.

We also knew for custom functionality we could create WordPress plugins.

Website Creation

As getting the website out fairly quickly was important we mainly focused on ensuring the website would convert potential customers into customers effectively while making sure the website looked good.

During the creation process as with every client we regularly showed Cherubs our progress and tweaked things as and when needed.

Eventually after two weeks of tweaking and perfecting the website reached a point were both us and the client were happy to launch the website.

Launch & Early Results

The following weeks after the website was launched we kept an eye on how it was preforming, here are some results...

The average conversion rate for the website was 5% which is 2-3% more than the industry average.

On average visitors would spend almost 3 minutes on the website and would browse multiple products.
